Material Overview

Duplex 2205 stainless steel combines both ferritic and austenitic structures, making it ideal for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. The S31803 grade has been refined into UNS S32205, offering enhanced corrosion resistance properties.

This grade undergoes precipitation of brittle micro-constituents above 300°C and ductile-to-brittle transition below -50°C, making it unsuitable for use at these extreme temperatures.
