Features and Applications

317L (00Cr19Ni13Mo3, UNS S31726) alloy is a molybdenum-based austenitic stainless steel with superior chemical corrosion resistance compared to conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels like 304 alloy. This alloy offers enhanced ductility, stress corrosion resistance, compressive strength, and high-temperature performance. The low carbon (L) grade provides resistance to sensitization during welding and heat treatment processes.

Compared to 316L, 317L steel demonstrates excellent water resistance and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance, making it ideal for chemical ships, chemical products, reactors, and high corrosion-resistant chemical equipment.
