S32652 (UNS 654SMO) Super Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe 1.4652 / X1CrNiMOCUN24-22-8 conforms to ASTM A312 and ASTM A269 standards for seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel pipes and tubes.
Material Description
654SMo (S32654, 1.4652) super austenitic stainless steel contains 23% nickel, 25% chromium, and 7% molybdenum, providing significantly superior corrosion resistance compared to standard austenitic steels.
This high-molybdenum steel presents manufacturing challenges during seamless pipe perforation due to its hard, sticky nature, which can lead to eccentricity or cracking. To ensure high success rates, we employ center perforation followed by cold rolling or cold drawing processes.
654SMo offers exceptional local corrosion resistance with superior pitting and stress corrosion resistance in seawater, aeration, gaps, and low-speed erosion conditions. It serves as an effective alternative to nickel-based alloys and titanium alloys, outperforming 904L and 254SMO in high-temperature and corrosion resistance applications.
