Alloy 254 SMO is a premium super austenitic stainless steel with enhanced molybdenum and nitrogen content and low carbon composition. This alloy demonstrates exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, stress cracking, and corrosion fatigue. With strength nearly double that of standard 300 series stainless steel, Alloy 254 SMO maintains high ductility and impact strength while providing superior performance in high chloride environments including brackish water, seawater, pulp mill bleach plants, and chloride process streams.
