Hastelloy C22 Seamless Nickel Alloy Tube manufactured to ASTM B622 specifications for seamless round tubing applications.
Material Description
Alloy C-22 is an enhanced nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy designed for superior performance in aggressive industrial environments. This alloy demonstrates exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking in both oxidizing and acid chloride conditions.
With excellent weldability characteristics, Alloy C-22 weld fillers are commonly employed for joining other corrosion-resistant alloys including Alloy C-276 and AL-6XN®.

Fabrication Guidelines
While sufficiently ductile for cold working operations, intermediate annealing may be required due to work hardening characteristics. Forging operations should be conducted between 1750-2050°F followed by rapid cooling. Annealing is performed within the 2020-2150°F temperature range with subsequent rapid quenching to prevent formation of detrimental phases that occur between 1400-1800°F. Welding compatibility includes gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes.
