TP 310 / 310S Stainless Steel Sheet Metal ASTM A240 Overview

310, 310S and 310H stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel designed for high temperature applications up to 2,100°F in continuous service. With 25% chromium and 20% nickel content, this grade offers exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion. 310S stainless steel features lower carbon content than standard 310 plate, reducing susceptibility to embrittlement and sensitization. 310H stainless steel plate contains higher carbon content. These grades perform well in moderately carburizing atmospheres found in petrochemical environments and are suitable for cryogenic applications due to their toughness and low magnetic permeability.
