Also known as 254 SMO, 1.4547, and 254SMO, this premium stainless steel is engineered for exceptional performance in demanding industrial applications.
Product Overview
254SMo is an austenitic stainless steel specifically developed for use in halide-containing environments such as seawater. This steel demonstrates superior performance particularly in halide-containing acids and features excellent resistance to uniform corrosion. With carbon content below 0.02%, it qualifies as pure austenitic stainless steel, and when carbon content is less than 0.01%, it can be classified as super austenitic stainless steel.
