Descrizione del prodotto
Inconel 625 Alloy Plate & Sheet
Premium corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy plates and sheets manufactured in the USA by SMC/ATI/HAYNES. Available in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 16mm.
Material Properties
Alloy 625 is an austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy offering exceptional corrosion resistance combined with high strength from cryogenic temperatures to 1800°F (982°C). The alloy's strength comes from solid-solution hardening by molybdenum and niobium, eliminating the need for precipitation-hardening treatments.
Key Characteristics
  • Outstanding corrosion resistance in severe operating environments
  • Resistance to oxidation and carburization in high-temperature service
  • Immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking
  • Resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular attack
  • Excellent weldability and fabrication properties
Industry Applications
  • Aerospace Components: bellows, expansion joints, ducting systems, jet engine exhaust systems
  • Air Pollution Control: chimney liners, dampers, flue gas desulfurization components
  • Chemical Processing: equipment for oxidizing and reducing acids
  • Marine Service: steam line bellows, ship exhaust systems
  • Nuclear Industry: reactor core components, waste reprocessing equipment
  • Offshore Oil & Gas: flare gas stacks, piping systems, riser sheathing
Standards Compliance
ASTM: B 443
ASME: SB 443
AMS: 5599

Corrosion Performance
Alloy 625 demonstrates exceptional resistance to various corrosive media including mineral acids (hydrochloric, nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric), alkalis, and organic acids in both oxidizing and reducing conditions. The high nickel content provides virtual immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Fabrication Guidelines
  • Hot Forming: 1650-2150°F (900-1177°C) with uniform reductions
  • Cold Forming: Perform in annealed condition with standard practices
  • Welding: Compatible with GTAW, GMAW, SAW, SMAW processes
  • Machining: Use annealed condition with low cutting speeds and adequate depth
