Product Description

630 Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe (17-4PH / UNS S17400, 1.4542, GB 05Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb)

Product Description 630 seamless pipe, also known as 17-4PH, is a martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel seamless tube. It contains copper and niobium elements. After solution treatment and aging heat treatment, fine copper-rich precipitates form inside the matrix to achieve ultra-high strength, hardness and moderate corrosion resistance. It is magnetic, with corrosion resistance close to 304 stainless steel, and mechanical properties can be adjusted by different aging heat treatment processes (H900, H1025, H1150 etc.).

Chemical Composition (wt%, max, balance Fe) C ≤0.07, Mn ≤1.00, Si ≤1.00, P ≤0.040, S ≤0.030, Cr 15.50–17.50, Ni 3.00–5.00, Cu 3.00–5.00, Nb+Ta 0.15–0.45

Mechanical Properties (H900 aging condition, reference)

Tensile Strength: ≥1310 MPa
Yield Strength (0.2% offset): ≥1170 MPa
Elongation (50mm gauge): ≥10%
Hardness: HRC 40–44
Density: 7.75 g/cm³

Note: Properties change with different aging treatments. H1150 delivers lower strength but better toughness and stress corrosion resistance.
