Material Properties
17-4PH is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel with copper and niobium additions, combining high strength, hardness (up to 572°F/300°C), and corrosion resistance equivalent to Alloy 304 or 430 in many environments.
Key Features: Very high yield strength up to 1100-1300 MPa (160-190 ksi), excellent mechanical properties optimized through heat treatment, and adequate corrosion resistance for industrial applications.
Applications
  • Offshore equipment (foils, helicopter deck platforms)
  • Food processing industry
  • Pulp and paper manufacturing
  • Aerospace components (turbine blades)
  • Mechanical components
  • Nuclear waste casks
  • Engine components
  • Boat propeller shafts
  • Plastic molding dies
  • Valves and gears
