Material designation: Inconel 600 nickel based alloy US grade: N06600 / NS3102
Overview of Inconel 600 (N06600) Nickel-Based Alloy
Inconel 600 is an early-developed nickel-chromium-iron-based solid solution strengthened alloy. It features excellent high temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance, superior hot and cold processing capabilities, and outstanding welding performance. The alloy maintains satisfactory heat resistance and high temperature plasticity below 700°C.
This alloy can be strengthened through cold working and supports various joining methods including resistance welding, solvent welding, or brazing. It is ideally suited for manufacturing anti-oxidation components that bear low loads below 1100°C.
