DIN 1.2787 AISI 431 ESR Stainless Steel Round Bars for Glass Moulds
Premium ESR 431 stainless steel round bars specifically engineered for glass mold manufacturing. Available in prehardened or soft annealed states with rough peeled surface finish.
NEW GENERATION FOR GLASS MOLDS MANUFACTURING
431 mod. represents a special improved grade derived from 1.4057, offering extended mold life through its extra fine ESR structure.

Material Properties & Characteristics
431 is a high chromium-low nickel Martensitic stainless steel with exceptional hardenability, offering high strength and good corrosion resistance. Typically supplied hardened and tempered in the tensile range 850-1000 MPa (Brinell 248-302).

  • Resistant to organic materials, nitric acid, and petroleum products
  • High tensile and yield strength with excellent toughness
  • Through hardening capability up to Rc44

  • Magnetic in all conditions
